Nawal Slemiah is the director and co-founder of the Women In Hebron nonprofit co-op in Palestine. It was established in 2005 and began by selling handicrafts in the Old City market of Hebron. Today it has more than 150 women producing items sold across the Hebron district – an area which is under Israeli military domination and where settler attacks on Palestinians are frequent and flagrant. |
